A Gut Healthy Life

Welcome to a gut healthy life!

So another year has come and gone.

And you may or have not have noticed.

I’ve been out of touch For awhile.

A long while.

But…

I’m back and I’ve been busy! I just needed to take a break. Re-group. Evaluate.

So, if you make your way to my website, you may notice things have changed a little. After some soul-searching, I knew what I needed to do – I needed to change my focus.

Oh, it’s still Erin Dishes Nutrition. And I’ll still be dishing up bites for a healthy life…a gut healthy life!

Yup, I’m focusing on digestive health, aka gut health. And many of you may not know, it’s a subject that’s very personal to me. Why? Well, you see – I’ve been living with an irritable bowel disease or commonly referred to as an IBD. Over 15 years ago, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis (UC).

Oh, but wait. That’s not all.

In fact, I also have irritable bowel syndrome but you may know it as IBS.

Aren’t I lucky?

And if you are at all familiar with either of these conditions, you know it can be a struggle to deal with each and every day.  So for that reason, I decided to focus on the very important topic of digestive health.  It’s personal and often I’ve felt alone. And I don’t want anyone to feel alone in their struggles.

Okay, maybe you’re saying – TMI Erin, are you really going talk about poop…on your blog? Yup and I’m not ashamed of it. You know why? Because when gut health is compromised, well – it just throws everything off! Seriously. Come on, you know if your gut’s not feeling right, you’re not feeing right. Right? Right.

So what does this mean moving forward?

This new post is an introduction of what’s to come. Moving forward my posts will mostly be focused on gut health – what it’s all about,  nutritional implications, health implications and just living every day with a gut that wants to run your life.

Don’t think you have gut issues? Or in other words, you already have a gut healthy life. Well, lucky you, but please stick around. Why? Because your gut can influence so many health issues that plague so many people. I’m pretty sure you’re still going to learn a thing or two if you stick around.

Oh! And by the way, I have BIG news! BIG BIG news!

Let’s just call this the “soft opening” of my private practice. YES – you heard me! Erin Dishes Nutrition is OPEN FOR BUSINESS! Check out my website to learn more.

And P.S. – my website it still a work in progress, so please excuse anything that seems “off”!
