Onion Dip
Try my version of the old classic onion chip. Even better – serve it with homemade chips!
Onion Dip

- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large yellow onion, chopped
- 1 shallot, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 black garlic cloves
- 8 oz. sour cream
- 1/2 cup Greek Yogurt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 1/2 teaspoons celery salt
- Hot sauce to taste
- salt and pepper to taste
- Heat olive oil in fry pan, add onion and shallot.
- Stir so olive oil coats the onion and shallot, Cook slowly until they begin to soften and turn brown.
- Add garlic and season with salt and pepper.
- Once the onion, shallot and garlic have turned golden brown, remove from heat and let cool.
- In a medium bowl, mix together sour cream, Greek yogurt, worcestershire sauce,onion powder, paprika, and celery salt.
- Once cool, add the onion mixture to the sour cream mixture. Stir to combine all ingredients.
- Season with a couple drops of hot sauce and salt and pepper.
- Let chill at least 30 minutes before serving.
