Grilled London Broil

London broil refers the the preparation method, not the cut of meat. Naturally lean, this cut is full of flavor. Marinating, cooking to medium rare and then cutting into thin pieces along the bias ensures this cut will be tender and super juicy!

Ingredients
  1. 1 lb. London broil
  2. 2 garlic cloves, minced
  3. 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  4. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  5. 1/2 lemon
  6. salt and pepper
For the marinade
  1. Place the garlic, red wine vinegar and olive oil in a plastic bag.
  2. Season front and back of steak with salt and pepper then place in plastic bag with marinade.
  3. Let the meat marinate 1 hour to 24 hours.
Cooking
  1. Allow meat to come to room temperature before cooking.
  2. Preheat grill or grill pan.
  3. Remove steak from marinade and place on hot grill or grill pan. Cook about 3 minutes each side for a 2 - 2 1/2 inch piece of meat.
  4. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
  5. While meat is resting, grill the lemon for about 2 minutes (until it gets slightly charred)
  6. After meat has rested, cut diagonally along the bias. Reserve any juices and pour back over the meat. Squeeze lemon over the cut meat.
