It’s Erin Dishes Nutrition 2nd Blogiversary!
Hard to believe two years have gone by since I started this blog. And I have to be honest.
Lately I’ve been struggling. I’ve been struggling with writing this blog. When I first started, I couldn’t wait to write a new post. It was new – it was exciting – everything flowed. But something has changed. Somewhere along the way the excitement has fizzled.
And I’ve been searching – trying to get it back. But I’m not sure how to do that. Maybe I’m in a funk. Maybe I need to take a break. I don’t know. What I do know is that I feel this blog is failing and I don’t like that feeling.
I’ve mentioned before, being a dietitian is hard. No one tells you about the constant battle you’ll be fighting. You know – the battle over what’s actually true and accurate information versus what people want to hear (aka – not scientific facts). I have no problem telling you the truth. But maybe that’s not want you want to hear. This blog’s intention was to provide you with accurate nutrition information, the science, in a fun, simple way. I wanted to share my passion with you. And my hope was that you would follow my passion with me. Do you?
Why am I telling you this? Because I’m asking you to be patient. Be patient with me while I take the time to figure things out. Some time to reflect back on why I started this blog – what’s my message – my purpose. There are so many blogs out there nowadays. How can I stand out? So I’m also asking for feedback. What do you like? What are you looking for? How can I help you?
So bear with me through these growing pains and here’s to another year.
