Garlicky Broccoli Rabe

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 bunches broccoli rabe, chopped into 2 inch pieces
  • 1 shallot, chopped
  • 6 garlic cloves, julienned
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • salt and pepper
Instructions
  1. Heat a large pot of water. Once it comes to a boil, add chopped broccoli rabe and blanche for 4 minutes. Remove from pot and place in a bowl filled with ice water.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large pan add the olive oil and shallot
  3. Cook for a minute until it begins to soften then.
  4. Add garlic, red pepper flakes and broccoli rabe.
  5. Cook for a another couple minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
